Vue De Monde

Last night I took part in my firm’s EOFY function at Vue De Monde. The firm hired out the entire floor of the restaurant, so we could wander freely through the Lui bar and the dining section. The views from level 55 are quite amazing, and give a perspective of the Melbourne night that I’ve never appreciated before. The food – most of it delicious – consisted of canapes, desserts and cheeses, and Shannon Bennett himself was in the kitchen preparing the dishes (apparently this was the first time VDM have held such a large function). A snapshot of the menu is above. The only downside? The triangulated urinals which, if you’re taller than Chef Bennett, reveal a little too much information about your fellow gents!
